The summer attic; it’s hot. Really hot. 140 degrees Fahrenheit, sometimes hotter. Boilers attached to your radiators make water cooler than this for heating. So getting that heat out of your attic should prevent some of it from heating your house and should decrease your air conditioning bills, right?

The New York Times recently introduced an article “Showing the Benefits of ‘Green’ Retrofits”, announcing that Deutsche Bank Americas Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the bank, is financing a public database of several hundred retrofitted buildings in New York City, and will additionally produce a report examining the cost savings associated with such buildings.
